The One Eyed Giant - Bungisngis

There are many stories of giants throughout the Philippine archipelago. Though most of them are large humanoids, there are some deviations!

One particular one is the bungisngis (Tagalog) which has one singular eye, tusks, and a large smile (ngisi). Their upper lip is so large it can cover its face. Because of its large stature, it can throw a carabao with no effort! It is said that the best way to escape them is to make them laugh or sneeze because their large protruding upper lip curls up and covers the eye. They're generally dumb, though, so while dangerous, it's easy to outwit them.
