For the last two years, our co-founder, Shilyn, worked on an art calendar researching various mythological creatures of the Philippines. This art project was initially "just" inspiration for our plushies, but we eventually decided to combine our creativity into a chapbook, "Creatures of Kwento: Perspective Poems"! It will be filled with poems by our other co-founder, Alex, accompanied with illustrations by Shilyn. Each artistically-represented creature will include a map, outlining several variations of those creatures found throughout the Philippines.
With the official release on January 1, 2024, join us in immersing yourself in the magic of Filipino kwento through the art of poetry! Paperback copies will be available on our website here, or several online retailers (such as Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc.). E-book copies will only be available on our website due to integration of the illustrations with the poetry.
