Bakunawa in a Book - Celestial Box

This Bakunawa plushie comes inside a book box, handpainted with a celestial design. The moon can "eclipse" over the sun, closing the box. On both sides of the "book" is baybayin script which reads "BaKuNaWa".

One of the most famous celestial eaters of the Philippines, the Bakunawa in Visayan mythos is a snake-like creature who thinks the moon is a toy to be played with, swallows it, but spits it out (explaining eclipses). (Read more here!)

Our Bakunawa plush includes its own moon, which is attached with elastic, so it can never lose its toy!

Included will be a small ID card with a description of the creature.

The book box is made from wood and handpainted. There may be slight imperfections due to the handmade nature of the display case.

Due to the nature of the plush, these are not suitable for young children. The plushies are stuffed firm to compensate for possible compression and shifting of stuffing over time.
