Maliwag the Manananggal was found on a ghost hunt, questioned, but couldn't be held for any crimes. Psych didn't want her, so she was placed in a custom separating coffin. Her coffin is able to be separated and re-attached by sliding the top and bottom pieces together. Display Maliwag in a full coffin (while still keeping her famous split visible), or separate the coffin boxes to really show off her lore.
One of the most famous aswang (monster) of the Philippines, the Manananggal is a flying, self-segmenting creature. At night, she separates from her bottom half to find her next meal consisting of fetuses, blood, or different human organs. The only way to kill her is by finding her lower half, usually hidden in the woods or in banana forests, and sprinkle salt, garlic, or ash on the exposed flesh to prevent her from reattaching. (Read more here!)
Our plush is able to be separated and re-attached by the hook-and-loop tape sewn in between the two pieces. The wings are wired so you can position them in different ways!
Included will be a small scroll about Maliwag and a description of the manananggal.
